This is a no-frills classical sun salutation intended as a support for your home practice. Lots of people ask me if there is a guide to sun salutation that they can use when they are starting their home practice. Now I can answer "yes!". Here it is.
There are many different variations of this sequence - this is the original and basic form which is good to learn as it forms the basis of all the other sun salutation variations.
It's a great warm-up for all the major joints, gets the energy moving through your spine and is also good for the endocrine system, restoring hormonal balance.
We go quite slowly for this one as it's intended as the first one of the day. Feel free to pick up the pace and introduce the breathing pattern as you get the hang of it.
